Tornadoes Make Impressive Debut Against Cardiff Centaurs

The HMPPS Tornadoes Ice Hockey Club took to the ice for their first ever competitive fixture (since relaunching in January 2026), on Saturday, 5 September, facing the Cardiff Centaurs in an exciting and closely contested encounter.

Despite eventually falling to a narrow 6-5 defeat, the Tornadoes left the ice with plenty to be proud of after producing a spirited performance that exceeded expectations and showcased the tremendous progress the team has made in a short space of time.

What made the achievement even more remarkable was the fact that several Tornadoes players were making their ice hockey debut, having only attended a handful of training sessions before stepping into a match situation.
